Week 334

The week of Jan 29, 2018 – Feb 4, 2018

Ramping up for mom’s big move…

Monday: Gym: super circuit. Wasted the evening doing pretty much nothing, but needed a relaxing evening. Watched a couple of old Friends episodes.

Tuesday: Mom has signed a mandate to sell her house. Major news. Went over there to help tidy up after the painting she had done.

Wednesday: Gym session with Johnny. Grocery shopping, over to mom’s to fill in her retirement village application forms.

Thursday: Made the application on mom’s behalf for entry to Pinelands Grove. Poker with the boys. Amazingly I came second.

Friday: I’m lagging behind on my exercising, but I’ve got too much on the go at the moment. Spent the evening with SketchUp plans and cutting list for the cabinets I need to build.

Saturday: Early start. Hardware shop and Rare Woods FebFest before 9. These are for the last few projects of mine while I still have a workshop. Met mom’s estate agent and assisted with the photographing. Lunch at Angus Grill, table view. Woodwork afternoon finishing the bookcase.

Sunday: Grocery shopping. Completed the sanding of the bookcase. Helped mom tidy and clear out two chests of drawers. First coat of varnish on the bookcase. Chores. Planning garage shelving to store what I keep from the workshop.

My work week was divided into: 80% refactoring, 20% bug fixing.

Podcasts listened to this week: NPR What It Takes.
