Week 472

The week of Sep 21, 2020 – Sep 27, 2020

Weekend away at Good Hope Farm…

Monday: Exercise session with Johnny. Published multiple of these blog posts.

Tuesday: Lunchtime hot meal, one of the benefits of working from home. Susan is going through a stage of feeling strong and I’m very happy for her. We watched Vikings.

Wednesday: Exercise session with Johnny and the first time using my homemade concrete dumbbells. The extra weight resistance really makes a difference to the workout.

Thursday: Public holiday Heritage Day. We drove to Robertson and met up with the Susan’s ladies group at Four Cousins Trading Room for lunch. First time since March that I’d been in a restaurant. Then we drove in convoy to Good Hope Farm and got settled in to the cabin. Burgers for supper.

Friday: Went for a morning walk to the nearby waterfall with some of the ladies. Picturesque scenery and topography. Breakfast, then a little walk with Sue. Coffee chat. Afternoon snooze. Cold and rainy weather led to us all moving across to the Lavender Cottage for drinks, games and a braai.

Saturday: Our turn at breakfast and dinner duty. Between which we relaxed and I did some walking around while Susan slept.

Sunday: Slept in. Breakfast, packing up, saying goodbyes, then we hit the road. Susan picked a little fynbos on the way out the farm. The drive back to Cape Town was pretty easy. Watched the last part of the Formula 1 GP. Leisurely TV watching.

My work week was divided into: New development 30%; Building install 20%; Holiday 20%; Leave 20%; Other 10%.
