Week 308

The week of Jul 31, 2017 – Aug 6, 2017

Not a very diligent week for taking these notes…

Monday: Gym. Coursera work. Finished reading Cutting for Stone, by Abraham Verghese.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One of the best books I’ve read. An epic story about lives, family, promises and keeping secrets. Moving and profound.

Tuesday: Body corporate trustees meeting. Unfortunately I’m chairman again.

Wednesday: Finished listening to audiobook of Bill Bryson’s A Short History of Nearly Everything. Gym, trainer session with Johnny. Tidied the flat. Side project coding. Reading.

Thursday: A nice burger takeaway from Eat Out the Box. Poker with the boys. I was second out.

Friday: After work drinks at work. Grocery shopping. Some side project coding.

Saturday: Gym, saw Simon and Lindsay. Donated blood #87. Lunch with mom at Cafe Magnifico. Watched Dunkirk at Canal Walk, pretty good. Walked Dixie. Watched a couple episodes of Suits – lame. Cracked a tooth.

Sunday: Lazy morning, reading and putting around. Lunch with mom, and a drive around the Atlantic seaboard to take advantage of a nice day. Some Coursera work.

My work week was divided as follows: 80% testing, 20% bug fixing.

Podcasts listened to this week: Hanselminutes; What It Takes; BBC Good Reads; Red Hot Poker.
