The week of Aug 10, 2026 – Aug 16, 2026
Monday: Public holiday. Did some admin. Then a game of padel with Barbs, Helen and Estelle. Susan suffering from insomnia and sleeping during the day.
Tuesday: Back to work after the long weekend. Bought Susan’s birthday present.
Wednesday: No entry.
Thursday: No entry.
Friday: Susan left for her girls’ weekend away. Quiet evening at home watching TV.
Saturday: Slow morning. Some DIY, time in the workshop, and a gardening tidy-up. Then a little braai by myself. A pretty good day.
Sunday: Early varnish session at the workshop. Walk around the Common. Starting to get really worried about my hearing. Susan arrived home from her weekend away. The varnish hadn’t dried when I went back for the third coat, so it’ll have to wait. Quick stop at Pinelands to inspect the work done. Rob & Marian chat.
