The week of Aug 28, 2017 – Sep 3, 2017
A busy stressful work week, but relaxed taking time off from Coursera studies…
Monday: Collected the glass panel door, fixed by Wynberg Glass. Installed it, and neatened up the beading that was left looking not so great. Finished watching season 1 of Taboo.
I’m trying something new for work lunches. I roast packet frozen vegetables to put on top of spinach leaves. Quite nice and a much needed change from salad.
Tuesday: Cooked some chicken in a roasting bag – tasty! Side project coding on a filename tagging program.
Wednesday: Parcel collection at Loot. (poker study books.) Gym session with Johnny. Worked late. Got irritated with work and colleagues. Once again this reflected worse on me than with them. A little side project coding.
Thursday: Woke early, couldn’t sleep. Lunch time trip home to give access to a plumber for common property repairs. Grocery shopping. Body corporate phone call. Went to see Atomic Blonde at the Labia, not bad, not great either.
Friday: Finished reading Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian by Marina Lewycka. A busy stressful work week, deadline ahead and people seem to be getting irritated with each other. Planning a dinner party, lots of grocery shopping.

I don’t like reading about manipulative relationships. And that is what I see as the main theme of this novel, despite a layer of humour and a contemplative ending.
Saturday: All day cooking session. Dinner party with Brian, Di, David and Colette. I made roast lamb, pumpkin pie, roast vegetables, quinoa and sweet potato salad, and tiramisu for dessert. Enjoyable evening.
Sunday: Didn’t sleep well, despite being very tired. Washing up and tidying up after the party. Lunch with mom at The Black Angus. Watched the Italian F1 grand Prix, a year since I was there. Some side project coding, and poker study.
My work week was divided into: 50% bug fixing, 40% documentation, 10% video recording;
