The week of Sep 4, 2017 – Sep 10, 2017
Successful side project coding…
Monday: Took some work time to develop my side project which is wholly work intended in any case. It’s a tool to help us associate example drawings with descriptive tags. Project page here. Gym. Admin, continued with the coding after work too.
Tuesday: Side project coding.
Wednesday: Gym session with Johnny. Body corporate site meeting. Casual evening doing nothing really.
Thursday: Poker with the boys, my dismal year continues with me being the first one out.
Friday: Mostly completed my tag-a-file project. I’d say it was a 50/50 work/home project. I’m happy with it. After work gym, lazy evening.
Saturday: Went browsing to get ideas for a new lounge suite. Nice things on offer at Coricraft, Alexiou and SofaWorx. Did some clothes shopping which I never enjoy. Managed to lose my sunglasses, left them in a fitting room. Enrolled for my next Coursera course. Attended the annual Hwange Schools charity dinner. Didn’t win anything this time! Got to catch up with Helga.
Sunday: Sea Point promenade walk. Lunch with mom at the Company Gardens restaurant. Always seem to have a good meal there. Grocery shopping and chores. Published a simple blog post on downsampling point clouds using PCL so that I don’t forget it. Reading.
My work week was divided as follows: 33% testing, 33% bug fixing, 33% side project.
Podcasts listened to this week: Making It, #133; CppCast; Thinking Poker #227; How I Built This; Hanselminutes; Dot .NET Rocks!
